Traffic Generation Problems?
In multiple surveys and studies done over the years, the biggest issue that most small business owners that are online find is not having enough traffic. In the following example, lets say that a business actually converts 10% of people they reach with their marketing. Yes, in most cases with most marketing methods and with most companies, that is a ridiculous percentage that is far from achievable. However, here at PKP Marketing Consulting, we have converted at 10% and higher consistently for many of our clients that fully utilized our advice and product lines. So let's run the numbers:
Business A promotes to 1000 people a month. 1000 x 10%= 100
I'm sure Business A is happy with their results, which they should be. However, Let's make the situation a little more interesting and more realistic. The average income per sale is only $35. For some industries this is a very small profit margin and for others this would be a blessing for an average profit per sale. So in this example, Business A was able to generate a profit of $3500 in a month from the traffic they were able to generate.
Well Business B has the same profit margin and actually converts less people a month at only 5%. However, Business B is able to generate 10000 hits to their website in the same month. 10000 x 5%= 500. Business B has the same average income per sale of $35 like Business A. However, Business B is able to generate 17,500 in profits in the same month even though they convert fewer people into paying customers.
Business is a Numbers Game:
Business in it's purest form is a numbers game. Either you are making money or losing money. You're winning or losing. More traffic will almost always make more money for you. The more attempts you receive the more likely you are to achieve. However, I will note, all traffic is not the same. Some purchasable traffic packages sold by other marketing companies are not " Real, Interested Prospects." The list of ways companies have delivered fraudulent traffic to websites goes on and on to include refreshing the web page repetitively and hiring staff just to go to your website.
